Executive
VP of Open Source at Sangoma, leading the Asterisk and FreePBX projects he first used as a community member.
Michael White is an open source technology executive, entrepreneur and grassroots motorsports competitor. The same thing has driven both sides of his career: build something useful, put it in the hands of a community, listen to the people using it and keep making it better.
For more than twenty years, Mike has worked in open source communications, first as a user of Asterisk and FreePBX, and today as VP of Open Source at Sangoma, the company behind them.
Grassroots racing works the same way. In the paddock, people share setups, help each other and trust the products other racers have actually used.
VP of Open Source at Sangoma, leading the Asterisk and FreePBX projects he first used as a community member.
Founded .e4, a business built on open source communications. Sangoma acquired it in 2020.
Races 799, a 1976 Volkswagen Scirocco, in hill climbs, time trials and track sprints.
Mike competes in 799 while also helping promote and grow grassroots motorsports. He is a board member and marketing leader for the Empire Hill Climb, combining his experience building communities with his enthusiasm for vintage Volkswagen racing.
Mike's network takes the 799 story beyond the track, to a technology and business audience. Partners get the same open source approach: your product used and talked about in front of the people who buy it.
